He's an exceptional pure hearted person. He truly cares about the individual person. he was upfront. Always answered or called back to insure I got the answers I needed. He truly believes that there is no dumb question, just people that won't take the time to understand the others persons perspective.

Veterans United was very easy to deal with. All staff were courteous, assisting, and truly attempted to support me as a customer. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a VA loan. They beat out their competition by at least a 1/2 point. Kudos to VU and their staff!

The team I had been assigned was truly a dream team. When I first started the process, I was slightly apprehensive since this was our first time buying a home. However, as I began working with the team more, I felt they actually cared about us finding the home that best matched our needs, and even remembered different aspects of our lives. Any questions I had were quickly and clearly answered. After closing, we even received a little gift box of treats and toys for our animals! Overall, we had a top-notch customer experience working with Donnie and his great team.

Great team of people. Made everything about home buying easy from beginning to end.

You guys rock and make home buying easy! Thank you!

I had a great experience getting a home with Veterans United and would definitely recommend my team to any of my friends if they came through the San Antonio. I am a fan!

Nothing but positive things to say. I was nervous at first and then I felt like the team and treated like they would a family member.

OK, so, I have always preferred renting for the convenience, but then about a year ago I was somehow inspired to buy a home, if I could find the right now. I h ad stumbled onto VU and had contacted them with my interest in doing a VA loan, which would be my first. My best friend "sister" and I spent months trying to find one close to her house, (My mom has dementia and I am her caregiver and my friend and her family have helped me care for her and she has become part of their family) Unfortunately, they were all high priced and still a bit away distance-wise, so we kind of tabled it for another time. For anyone who doesn't think prayer works, they might want to recheck that! A mutual friend of ours owned a house literally across the street, and one day she told us that she and her husband were going to move back to TX and they decided to finally sell the house. Once my friend told her about me wanting it, she didn't even list it, instead doing a FSBO, which took out the middle man. I contacted Alec and crew to tell him I had finally found a house and he was so excited for me! He literally took care of everything and brought in Elizabeth and Blake to hold my hand through the process, which took less than a month! When they said they were going to do something, they did it and with high quality caring. They found a title company locally that also was awesome with very helpful and attentive people. They even had gotten a beautiful sign made for my craft room! It was one of the very few times in my life that I have done business with an organization/company where it was obvious these people had answered a calling to do this and genuinely loved it. They are an example of what customer care (aka service) is supposed to be like. I've been an RN for over 30 years, and a psychotherapist for over 7 years, so I know first hand the importance of making sure my clients feel taken care of. I have their phone numbers starred in my contact list, and whenever I meet a fellow Veteran wanting to purchase, Veterans United will be THE first company, and they will be the first names I give out. Somebody, please give these folks a raise, or at least a nice Christmas bonus!
Thanks for everything and Merry Christmas!

When this journey first began I knew very little about buying a home and had very little expectations. Now I've learned quite a bit more but I don't think that I would be eager to embark on this journey again. No matter how great my team was.

I'm very grateful for all of the insight and support I've received.

Overall communication was strained. Hard to get a hold of anyone. Buying a home can be stressful and it didn’t feel like this team cared about me or the process. I felt like an inconvenience to them.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Shawn,
I'm really sorry to hear that you felt overlooked during such a big moment in your life. Buying a home is stressful enough without having to chase down updates or feel like you're on your own. That’s not the experience we want for anyone, and I hate that it felt like our team wasn’t fully in your corner.
I’d like my team to learn more about what happened and see if there’s anything we can do to make it right. When you’re ready, you can reach out to us directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday—but feel free to reach out anytime that works for you.

Justin and his team were AMAZING!!! They helped me through the whole process with ease. Tayla was one of his team members that went above and beyond with our needs, making the whole process a breeze! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to walk me through my first time buying a home!!!

Everyone on the Veterans United loan team was absolutely fabulous with the exception of the actual loan officer. My wife and I are a team and it was frustrating that he would not respond to us in group chats or to our shared email. Made us feel uncomfortable and unsupported.

Ot was a great experience!

Normally I do not give a 10 rating, because I always think there's room for improvement. In this case, Veterans United and Matthew and his team did super outstanding. Thanks to all involved with this seamless process.
