Icannot say enough amazing things about Veterans United—they truly changed my life.
From my very first conversation, their team took the time to thoroughly review my finances and clearly explain every step of the homebuying process. There was never a moment where I felt confused or unsupported. I also completed their education course and regularly watch their YouTube content, which helped me feel informed and empowered throughout this journey.
What really made the experience exceptional was the team I worked with. My loan officer, Carma Bittle, loan coordinator Shannon Brown, and concierge Shawna Woofter actually the entire team was absolutely phenomenal. They answered every single question—no matter how small, repetitive, or anxiety-driven. They were patient, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure I felt confident every step of the way.
Buying a home can be overwhelming, but they made it feel manageable and even exciting. When I received the “clear to close,” I was overwhelmed with emotion—I wanted to scream, but since I was at work, I cried instead. That moment meant everything to me.

Closed 2 weeks late. Most documents sat in limbo. Communication from underwriting, the loan coordinator and anyone in between was terrible. No updates unless we reached out to them. It took weeks for documents to show up because both seller and buyer agents and our loan team were not in constant communication until after the closing date. This process costs me thousands of dollars while I had to afford temporary living because of the very late closing date. This was the worst home buying experience I've ever had.

My recent home buying and closing process with Veterans United loan team Jon M, Kyle B, Jason M, and Leslie G was absolutely seamless and I couldn’t be happier!I was in the home buying process with navy federal loan team and under contract to purchase a property. Navy fed messed up my loan file, didn’t issue disclosures, and didn’t collect documents from me in timely manner, were unprofessional by not responding to communication within a couple of business days, and pushed the professional boundaries in the cash to close negotiation by asking for a large downpayment last minute even though I was using a VA no downpayment loan. NF caused total chaos and the seller and I to miss our closing date. On closing, day navy fed loan team was not reachable and my real estate agent had to extend the contract closing date by 4 weeks!I contacted Veterans United that day and the loan team stepped in immediately to rescue the deal to close on the new date and they gave me a pre-approval letter the same day I reached out to them. The Veterans United process was fast, seamless, and respectful of the agents, sellers and my schedules. Jon M, Kyle B, and Jason M, Leslie G got all my required documents on time, were extremely responsive to my real estate agent and I by email and phone communication during the entire process. We closed on June 12th and this was the best loan closing process that I have ever had. This was due to Jon, Kyle, Jason, and Leslie’s timely professionalism and VU process of collecting required documents in the online portals and expediting them to the underwriter. When the underwriter needed more information Jon, Kyle, Jason, and Leslie, kept me updated in real time allowing the decision making process and closing process to move forward at lightning speed.I highly recommend Veterans United and the loan team Jon M, Kyle B,Jason M, and Leslie G. Veterans United is the only VA loan provider I will use. Thank you!

Veterans United was very convenient and hassle free for me. My team was prompt and responsive, answering any questions I had. As a first-time homebuyer purchasing remotely while stationed overseas, VU was able to work around my schedule. Their website and application was easy to use and always avaialable from application process to closing. An interactive checklist was available to keep me on track and included links for information and local recommended services. I couldn't be more satisfied with them.
