Jeff Magsamen and his team did well.The title company that was used did horrible. If not for Jeff's hard work and exceptional customer service I would have cancelled this loan.This situation needs to be investigated so it doesn't happen again.I was clear to close and the title company didn't have and/or needed more tax information? Unacceptable. Within 5mins I provided this information. This caused a delay from a Wednesday close to a Friday close.I asked if they could fund/post the money I was getting back in the morning or as soon as possible since it was Friday. I got excuses of how it depends on VU and my bank. It also felt like they blew me off and did not care what I wanted. I got the deposit close to 3pm.It is now over a week from closing and some bills that were to be paid off are still not paid?I would not use this title company. Amber and Marlon did a wonderful job of my loan refinancing. They kept me informed about things during the process. I highly recommend the team.
Unfortunately the purpose of my refinance was to repair problems in my home. I had to make the repairs prior to closing and only was able to do so because my son loaned me money. I was told things then told something different several times. Communication could have been better.

I can only imagine how stressful it must’ve felt to need those home repairs done right away—and then be told they had to be completed before closing. Too many hoops to jump through for the underwriter. I used rocket about three years ago and it was nothing like that.
Dustin and the team did a phenomenal job communicating and working with me to get all this done quickly and efficiently.
Overall, the Veterans United team was very efficient.
