Software was easy to use, but it always comes down to the people....everyone that I dealt with was amazing and answered all of my questions quickly.

Veterans United could not make it any easier to buy a home or refinance. We have done both in the past year and have really appreciated their help and enjoyed working with them. Keep in mind you have to be willing to do the work! Get your ducks in a row and be realistic about your home buying expectations. Respond to emails and upload requested documents in a timely fashion and things will go smoothly. You can't go wrong with Veterans United!!

My loan came with several different degrees of difficulty. Sam and Dustin had to put in a lot of work and redo a lot of things because of different circumstances. Truly grateful to these guys for getting everything done for me.

Very poorly explained the amount of loan after closing costs
Response from Veterans United
Hi Charles,
Thanks for sharing this. I’m really sorry the final loan amount and how closing costs impacted it weren’t explained clearly. That’s the kind of information that should be laid out in plain terms, especially when you’re making such a big financial decision. You shouldn't be left guessing or trying to piece it together on your own. I know how important transparency is during the loan process, and I hate that we fell short there.
Feel free to reach out anytime at 1-800-212-5200 or email me at ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We're here Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and I’ll make sure your concerns are heard.

Service is great and timely

Worst support ever. Why ask for my social to authenticate if it doesn’t matter? Why ask for my loan number if it’s just going to not understand? It’s garbage
Response from Veterans United
Hi Taylor,
I'm really sorry your experience with our support team left you feeling this frustrated. It sounds like you were trying to get help and just ran into one roadblock after another—that's not the experience we want anyone to have, especially when you're already dealing with something as stressful as a home loan.
Verifying information like a loan number or Social is meant to protect your privacy and help us locate your file quickly, so it’s especially frustrating to hear that it didn’t actually help get you the answers you needed. I’d be upset too.
If you’re open to it, I’d like to make sure someone on our Client Advocate team takes a closer look at what went wrong. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST—and we’d appreciate the chance to talk.
My original loan officer was not very proactive had to constantly reach him he was finally pushed to the side. The escrow group chosen by Veterans United is horrible I was told to get a payoff through the 20th but my debts were mailed out by standard mail causing me to pay more on interest

Kyle and everyone at Veterans United provided awesome service. The whole process went very quickly and smoothly. I love the "to-do's" whenever they need documentation or information. Sometimes playing phone tag can be difficult and you have to wait for information. But with Veterans United it is all on the website and it is very easy to navigate.

From start to finish, Veterans United exceeded every expectation. As a veteran navigating the homebuying process, I was initially overwhelmed—but their team made everything feel straightforward and achievable. They treated me with respect, patience, and genuine care throughout the entire journey.Their communication was exceptional. I was never left wondering about the next steps, and every question I had—big or small—was answered with clarity and kindness. My loan officer and the entire support team made me feel like more than just a number; they made me feel like family. What stood out most was their deep understanding of the VA loan process. Their expertise gave me peace of mind, and their dedication to making things work for me was nothing short of incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure that I closed on time and with confidence.Veterans United doesn’t just help you buy a home—they help you believe in the dream of homeownership again. If you’re a veteran looking to buy a home, look no further. This team is the real deal. I’m proud to be a homeowner—and even prouder to have had Veterans United by my side.

I completely recommend working with Jacob Johnston to anyone! He worked hard to get us the lowest interest rate competing and achieved the same low rate a competitor was offering. Then the option was up to us to decide, no pressure. He is the BEST!!

Veterans United team is a star wars! Never an odd scene with them. They go stretch their skills to fight with time for us to have our “ closing” achieved as scheduled. You “used the force, Steve”. Thank you!

Everything is explained, and I trust Ryan.

We inherited our property after the pasing of my father in law. Its a large property that supports a busy art community wihich added many callenges for financing. Adding more challenges, we are retired on a fixed income. From the fist contact with veterans United i knew i had made the right choice in financing. We also knew it would be difficult. From our first contact with Kaleb we felt Veterans United would make it happen. It took a bit of time butwexwere able to close our loan, remain on our property and continue assisted a wonderful group of artists. We couldnt be happier! I highly recommend veteran's give Vetrans United a chance to make your dreams come true.
