Nacim, Suzanne, my real estate agent, and my POC with the title company were all great, but my loan officer was not in office during my closing period. Nobody effectively replaced him, which resulted in several instances of contract values changing without my approval or awareness. Almost everyone on my team was amazing, and I did end up happy and with everything in order, but there was a mistake by the lenders. And there was subsequent difficulty communicating with them, causing frustration, headache, and missed work. I would have liked to have been informed about the numbers changing, and the mistake in arithmetic by the loan team is inexcusable. Sam Brown was my loan officer, and I would not recommend him, even though I doubt this is a common occurrence. It was extremely unprofessional.

My experience with Verterans United was extremely stressful and disappointing. They were not flexible at all when it came to documents that were more than 20 years old and no longer available. Even when I provided alternative proof, it was dismissed as “not good enough.” Instead of helping track down information they easily could have obtained themselves, they kept sending new to‑do items day after day, each one demanding something different.On top of that, their 11th‑hour demands made the situation even more frustrating and stressful. Every time I thought I had provided what they needed, they added something new at the last minute, creating unnecessary pressure and confusion.It felt like they turned me into their errand runner—constantly chasing paperwork, digging through old records, and trying to satisfy requirements that seemed to change every time. Overall, their lack of flexibility, constant shifting demands, and unwillingness to assist with document retrieval made the entire experience far more difficult than it needed to be

I have never been treated better by a mortgage company in my life. I was helped from the beginning to the end and even after I signed my paperwork. I had someone communicating with me constantly, and nothing fell through the cracks. They even bought me coffee! I seriously cannot say enough about the amazing team that Rob Deleeuw headed, including Brayden who always helps with paperwork, and Sierra who just wanted to make sure that I had everything set up, including utilities and address change. Seriously top-notch service!
Steve was completely on top of everything super fast. Super efficient couldn’t have asked for a better loan officer. The whole team at Veterans United was amazing to work with the process was seamless, out of all of the several home loans I’ve had, this has been the easiest by far. We love our new home, but if we ever were to move again, I will use Veterans United again no problem.
