Purchasing my home with Veterans United was a huge milestone for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the team that helped guide me through the process. Buying a home can be stressful at times, but my team consistently worked hard to keep everything moving and to make sure I understood each step along the way.I especially want to recognize Andy Harris, Shawna, Hannah, and Christie for their dedication and professionalism. Andy was always responsive and supportive, making sure my questions were answered day or night and helping me stay on track throughout the loan process. Shawna and Hannah were extremely helpful and organized, making the document process smooth and keeping me informed of what was needed. Christie worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything met underwriting requirements. Andy made sure that we reached the finish line. What meant the most to me was knowing I had a team advocating for me and working hard to make my homeownership goal a reality. I was not just a number. As a veteran, it’s reassuring to work with people who understand the VA loan process and truly care about helping veterans succeed.I’m proud to say I’m now a homeowner, and I appreciate the effort and commitment my Veterans United team put into making that happen. I would absolutely recommend Veterans United to other veterans looking to buy a home.

The team was responsive, supportive, on-point, impactful, and overall awesome the entire way thru the process. They made sure I had the needed information when I needed it to understand where we were at and where we were going. Whenever I invented a new problem or had a concern, I got a quick solution or answer. On more than one occasion I shot an email out on a Saturday thinking I'd get a response on Monday, and within an hour I had an answer to my question. At all times it felt like I had the team in my corner. This is my second time closing on a house and didn't have that with my last lender. It was nothing but a pleasure to work with Brandon, Michael, Crosby, and Anna. Not only do I appreciate the professionalism of the team, but it feels like I've gotten to know them. It's not everyday I buy a house and there's no one I'd rather have worked with on this. Thanks guys.

Everyone on our team did a fantastic job!
Any questions we had were answered completely and promptly.
I look forward to the next opportunity to work with them!

This was truly a pleasant experience. Having bought several homes in the past and this was, by far, the best. I was kept informed throughout the process. And the people I worked with were exceptional.

Brant Baxton was amazing!!! He explained everything to us and made our home purchase very easy. He always answered my calls which I never expected. He lwent above an beyond and I will recommend him to everyone. He even sent us a bark box which was a total surprise that we LOVED!!!We also had the experience of working with LeAnn Justis I'm sorry to say that I did not enjoy working with her nor did the title company we used. She waited till the last minute on a few very crucial things that delayed our closing. He emails to us and the title company using her BIG LETTERS shouting at us were very offensive. I did not enjoy working with her and at the end Brant came in and saved the day.

Excellent! Amazing how well this all went. Gabe was very attentive and very kind. Made this so easy. I would highly recommend!

Chace and his team was amazing to work with. Highly recommend!!!!

Lauren was amazing!!! The whole team was extremely professional, dedicated, talented and nothing short of amazing. I would and will definitely recommend them to any and everyone. Thank you all again for everything you have done and I look forward to more in the future.

As a veteran diving into homeownership, the VA Home Loan program has been a solid option, and I’m thrilled with how it worked out for me. Here’s my take, focusing on communication, ease of the loan process, and the knowledge of the team I worked with.
Communication: 4/5
The communication with my lender and the VA was mostly clear and responsive. My lender kept me in the loop about what documents I needed, like my Certificate of Eligibility , and walked me through the funding fee . They were quick to answer my questions about rates and terms, which helped me feel confident. However, there were a couple of moments when I had to follow up to get updates on the appraisal, which felt a bit slow. A little more proactive outreach from the team would’ve made it perfect.Ease of Loan Process: 4.5/5
The VA loan process was surprisingly smooth for such a big purchase. Not needing a down payment was a huge relief, and skipping private mortgage insurance kept my monthly payments manageable. Getting the COE was simple through the VA’s online portal, and the paperwork, while detailed, wasn’t overwhelming. The appraisal took a bit longer than I expected, and I had to make sure the house met VA’s property standards, which ruled out one home I liked. Still, the streamlined process and clear steps made buying my first home way less stressful than I thought it’d be.
Knowledge of Team: 4.5/5
The lender’s team knew the VA loan program inside and out, which gave me confidence. They explained how the VA’s backing meant lower interest rates (mine was noticeably better than conventional quotes) and walked me through options like rolling the funding fee into the loan. They also clarified how to navigate seller concerns—some were wary of VA loans due to appraisal myths, but my realtor and lender handled it like pros. The only hiccup was a junior team member who seemed less familiar with specific VA requirements, but the senior staff stepped in quickly to sort it out.
Overall Experience: 4.5/5
The VA Home Loan made buying my home achievable, with no down payment, no PMI, and competitive rates. Communication was solid, though I’d love more consistent updates. The process was easy for a first-timer like me, and the team’s expertise carried me through, despite a few minor bumps. The funding fee and occasional seller pushback were drawbacks, but the benefits far outweigh them. I’d highly recommend the VA loan to any eligible vet or service member—just pick a lender who specializes in VA loans to make it even smoother.

Fantastic. They'll update you immediately and remind you if you forget something because it's a lot of paperwork at once when you shorten the closing window. They put out information in a digestible manner, though readily went into depth when asked questions. The team also would give realistic and accurate time expectations. Additionally, they communicated effectively and timely with my realtor when it was required.

Everyone did fine, but when people were out of the office and you got passed on to someone else, communication was not the best on your end, and when the person came back their emails showed that information was not passed between the substitute and the primary. Vacations happen, I get it. There just needs to be a list of something given to the primary, to keep him in the loop.
