As a former combat veteran that served in the US Marines, I always try to do all the right things. I put my son and daughter through college and unfortunately between college debt, a personal loan and credit cards I was becoming overwhelmed with debt and found myself in a situation which wasn't going to get better. Making minimum payments on several credit cards and with other loans and debts I was never going to pay off my debts. I reach out to Veterans United to inquire about equity in my home to finance with a consolidation to focus my payments solely on my mortgage than paying more than 8 or more creditors. Filing for bankruptcy for me is not an option, I consider that failure. I was on a mission with the refuse to lose mentality and thinking of different avenues of approach to the situation. I couldn't sit back and have things fall apart. I was assigned Drew Tillman. I was very transparent explaining my situation. I told him I was never late on any payments, but my credit cards were over 30% balance and some where almost maxed. I told him I am watching my credit score decrease the more I wait. Drew told me my credit score was actually higher than what was listed on Credit Karma, my appraisal on my home will determine what options I have. Everything worked out better than what I expected. I was able to pay off everything, lower my interest rate, reduced my monthly debt and free up over 1k per month and prevent my credit score from receiving more damage. Drew was great and kept me positive assuring me things will work out. The underwriter in the final stages, I think her name is Melissa Quinones kept me informed every step of the way. I am very pleased with how everything worked out. The only downside was adding years to the life of the loan. This isn't really an issue, now I could focus on making extra payments on the mortgage and the years will begin to reduce in the long run.

No brainer Bobby is a true pro , very refreshing to see professionals at work

Veterans United and the mortgage team make the home buying process simple and smooth. I’ll always recommend Veterans United to my friends and colleagues!

Veterans united has been the best ever. First. Loan exceptional. Second long exceptional. I will always use veterans united. Thankyou.

Second time working with company and I foresee many more. Attention to detail is immaculate.

My Third time with Veterans United. Always feel comfortable dealing with them. Nathan Jackson knows his stuff.

Great team win for VU family. Ross is normally my #1 call but this time I made the error of going with my mortgage company who ghosted us half way through. Appreciate all VU does and especially Ross and Jefferey. VU just closed on one of my friends houses in Alabama (Bryan Orr) who I recommended. Keep it up team we appreciate you making these choices easier to handle

We have used Veterans United 3 times now. For buying two homes and now for our first refinance. We've worked with Danny each time and keep coming back because he makes it so easy and seamless every time. We recommend this place to all the Veterans we know who are in the market thanks to all the positive experiences we have had.

I’m super happy and feel like I gained a family. They have helped us in finding a dream home and have always are there for us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Cindy does not just manage your loan through closing then good bye, she is there for the length of the loan. It is very nice to have some one there, and someone that actually cares makes it even better. Thank you.
