The buying process is smooth and simple. Biggest issues that arise are not from VU at all, but the requirements made for home buying. Still not a big issue if the seller is willing to work with the Veteran buyer. My biggest complaint is the phone system itself. Getting to a rep is hard enough, but it does seem that there is an issue with coherence across the board for the techs. It took almost a full year of working with at least 12 different people to get my mortgage back on track from missing one payment and cost hundreds of dollars in fees that I was mandated to pay, which should not have fallen on me as I did my best to work with the program but it was never followed through with.

Trying to get your mortgage back on track after one missed payment should not feel like a year-long uphill battle. Our experience was not what we had hoped for. Our loan officer was great though and did what he could to keep us in the loop and explain why it took so much longer than it should have. Disappointed in the process but glad its done.

Timing could have been quicker, but things went great



NOT TO BAD TO DEAL WITH BUT MANY THINGS TO DO ARE NOT PRESENTED TO YOU AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PROCESS. SEEMED LIKE YOU THINK YOU ARE DONE WITH PAPER WORK THEN MORE STUFF SHOWS UP.
