From the time I first reached out to VU to the funds being available on time for closing (not all that common with other lenders) everything went just as the team explained it would.I could not be happier with the service that I got from Veterans United.
VU was very helpful and even covered a few thousand in rate extension fees and some underestimations in the final disclosure. They helped forward mail, setup utilities and had partner deals on home security, internet, etc. Overall, very helpful throughout the process and ended up getting exactly what we needed - a house - with only a few thousand out of pocket! Randy was awesome.

I've always pushed for the "human" factor in finance. Not the the emotional factor. Recognizing the difference between helping and enabling. John and his team seem to have located that algorithm. I was extremely impressed with tolerance, knowledge, willingness to communicate and above all. The human approach that was administered. I have nothing but praise for process there at VU. Wonderful process, start to finish. Whole team was phenominal. It was my second time using Veterans United.
I honestly thought going in to this it would be over whelming but our lean team was amazing and helped us through every step. If you need a little extra help getting credit where it needs to be they will help you figure out what to do.

This is the second time working with Veterans United for a VA loan and both times it was unbelievably smooth. The team is always polite, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. We look forward to working with VU in the future.
I didn’t have a consistent agent. I think I had like 5 people all together, some only assisting for a few days. Then they told me closing was going to be about $20k and it ended up being $46k. I mean they apparently do this for a living and they weren’t even close. To make it worse, they didn’t get the final numbers ready until the day before closing. That’s not okay. On top of that, I’m the one that had to tell them there was an issue with the numbers. This whole process was a joke.
