I’ve used VU for two home loans thus far & they have been a joy to work with. They make the process as easy as possible and are very accessible when needed.
The assessor was overly picky and despite 3 professionals in the field saying that one repair was NOT necessary at all, they insisted. I doubt that the person had ANY construction experience or they would have understood. It very nearly cost me the house. The closing costs also went from a few hundred to over 14k, which also was an irritation. I had several other lenders offer lower closing costs but I found vu to be much easier to get ahold of.

Working with Veterans United as a whole was a great experience. The entire process was seamless and their app and website are extremely user friendly and help with the process of moving through the loan process.

We first began searching for a home before a military move with unknown dates. The team helped us move quickly on a house that ultimately wasn't meant to be and handled it very smoothly. When we finally received orders and hard dates that required even quicker movement, the team came together again and made it happen on our timeline like true professionals. I was very impressed with the customer service, software applications, and timeliness from start to finish. We will absolutely come back on our next home search!
Once again Felecia, Jennifer, and her team were phenomenal! This was my second VA loan with Veterans United (VU) and they were able to secure a good rate. They were attentive, timely and processed my application quickly. The ease of signing documents through the app was very helpful and allowed me to connect and respond from anywhere. I appreciated the reminders and concierge support to ensure I didn’t miss important timelines. They were thorough and explained anything I was confused about in great detail. The level of customer service from all of the departments I connected with was excellent. I would recommend anyone to work with VU or just give them a call to hear what they offer when considering buying a home…you’ll be SOLD!!
Overall the team was great. My only complaint is a lack of clear communication from Paige. Specifically, what are the buyers responsibilities, what the buyers agent is responsible to submit, and her apparent inability to read an email chain for items that were already submitted or information that was already provided. When I say it's cash held in reserve, I mean it's cash held in reserve and not assets being sold. When the pest inspection and invoice gets submitted, perhaps track that info. To be hones, practicing good closed loop communication would have solved virtually all the problems I had with her. Don't send emails in the blind and just assume...there's a lot of money and effort riding on that email so a follow up text or quick call when you don't hear back isn't a big ask.Unrelated to Paige specifically, but 24 hours is the bare minimum of time to make a large wire transfer. I was able to get that in with about an hour to spare because well, I have a job that doesn't let me sit on hold for an hour to make that happen and frankly, that's taking away from time my clients are paying for. That's not ok. 72 hours is probably more reasonable.
My entire loan team has been nothing short of phenomenal. Process was easy on that end.
