I was so nervous as a first time home buyer going into this process but Dane, Madi, and the rest of the team were so pleasant to work with from start to finish. They answered all of my questions ASAP and helped calm a lot of my nerves as we went and ultimately made the home buying process as easy as it could be. I am so happy that we went with Veterans United. On top of that, getting insurance through our Veterans United rep saves us so much vs what we were paying in insurance previously so we were very happy about that.
The loan process was non intuitive. There were about 40 pre actions thrown at us without explanation of their purpose unless we reached out to ask for an explanation.Our title was not completed properly, which will result in a financial burden on us to fix. After putting so much money towards a down payment, it is straining on us to fix the mistake. Additionally, $13,000 was spent for closing costs just to receive an incorrect title. It's a mess.I will be counseling my Soldiers to find a loan elsewhere if they ask me.
