This was the worst homebuying experience I have ever had. Jason Crone single handedly cost me an unexpected $10k in closing costs because he failed to heed my questions regarding appraisal. It took me going to the CEO just to close on time. Which, by the way, they waited 48 hrs before we closed and told us we needed an additional $10k because of ltv. Do business with anyone but this company. If the word FUBAR and SNAFU sound familiar, its what this company bases their principles upon. Even the director of client relations was of no help. Run far away from this dumpster fire

Brandon Elkins is not a very good representative. He is cocky and condescending. If you listen to his voicemail he emphasizes “at HIS convenience” for returning calls, of which, he never did. Only reason I received a call back was because I reached out via messaging system for VU and texted Amanda who was our primary rep when we first applied for a mortgage loan. Mr. Elkins is also not a team player. We first came in contact with him when he called me after I inquired on a payout amount for the loan online. I informed him that we tried to re-finance a few months prior but was not content with the closing costs amount. He went on saying that I spoke to another department and that “they work differently and at times not beneficial to the client.” Bottom line, Brandon is not a good person to represent VU and it feels like he should fine another job so that he is not such a miserable person.
If it wasn’t for Amanda following up, I would have definitely gone with another company for our refinance.
The whole process was made so easy because of Brad T. And Amanda Jennings! They worked fast, communicated with us with ease, and just all around were amazing!
Our refi was challenging, but Clayton, Wendy and the rest of the team handled everything with grace and a sense of humor. I always received quick responses to my questions and concerns. The team's professionalism and honesty truly reflects their dedication to homeowners! Recommend them 110%.
